Description
What is TRIP?
TRIP is a powerful broad-spectrum fungicide by Farmisto Chemicals Pvt Ltd designed to protect high-value crops in Pakistan. It contains two proven active ingredients, Iprodione 20 percent and Tebuconazole 5 percent, formulated as a Suspension Concentrate. This combination gives both contact and systemic action which ensures fast knockdown as well as deeper internal protection.
Farmers in Pakistan face serious fungal pressure during humid spells, irregular rainfall, and changing temperatures. Diseases like Alternaria leaf spot in apple, rice blast in paddy fields, and different blights in vegetables and potatoes reduce both yield and quality. TRIP targets these major problems with dependable control, a wide application window, and strong performance under varied field conditions in Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Sindh.
Key Benefits
-
Dual action for strong and lasting disease control.
-
Effective on leaf, stem and fruit surface infections.
-
Works inside plant tissues for deeper protection.
-
Broad crop fit including apple, rice and potato.
-
Designed for Pakistani weather and farming systems.
-
Supports better yield and cleaner market-grade produce.
How It Works
TRIP works through two complementary scientific mechanisms:
Contact action from Iprodione
Iprodione belongs to the dicarboximide group. It acts on fungal MAP or histidine kinase pathways. In simple words, it blocks the fungus from managing cell functions that help it grow and survive. The chemical stays on the leaf surface and stops spores from germinating. This prevents the spread of the disease to healthy leaves.
Systemic action from Tebuconazole
Tebuconazole is a triazole fungicide. It is a DMI inhibitor, which means it stops fungi from making ergosterol. Ergosterol is essential for healthy fungal cell walls. When the fungus cannot build its cell wall, it becomes weak and dies. Tebuconazole moves inside the plant, giving internal protection and stopping hidden infections.
The combination of surface protection and internal movement helps TRIP provide fast control and long-lasting results.

Local Advice for Pakistani Farmers
Pakistan’s diverse climates affect fungal disease pressure differently:
Punjab
Heavy irrigation and humid spells create perfect conditions for Alternaria and blight. TRIP protects vegetables, fruits and rice during these high-pressure periods.
Sindh
High temperatures with sudden humidity can trigger blast and fruit rots. TRIP’s dual action supports reliable crop protection in early and mid-season.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Cooler temperatures in hilly areas increase leaf spot diseases in apples and vegetables. TRIP is useful during pre-flowering and early growth stages.
Balochistan
Dry climate with occasional moisture encourages fungal outbreaks on apples and vegetables. TRIP helps maintain healthy foliage where disease spreads slowly but builds steadily.
Using TRIP as part of a seasonal crop protection program supports better disease control in all major agricultural zones of Pakistan. It fits well with integrated disease management and complements traditional practices. Use it to improve yield quality, protect investment and maintain strong crop health.
